The King of Saudi Arabia welcomed Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, to Riyadh on Wednesday.
King Salman and Sheikh Abdullah reviewed the close ties between the nations and other issues of mutual interest during the meeting in the Saudi capital.
Sheikh Abdullah conveyed the greetings of President Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to King Salman.
The minister also passed on the wishes of the UAE leaders for the kingdom to enjoy greater progress, prosperity and stability.
King Salman offered his own greetings to the Emirates' leaders, wishing them health and happiness.
The meeting was also attended by a number of senior political figures from Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
