ABU DHABI // President Sheikh Khalifa has granted the departing Sudanese ambassador to the UAE honorary recognition for his service to the country.
Ahmed Al Sadiq received the Independence Order of the First Class for contributing to the development of friendship and cooperation between the countries, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed, Minister of Foreign Affairs, presented Mr Al Sadiq with the order on Tuesday morning, congratulating him and wishing him success. Mr Al Sadiq thanked Sheikh Khalifa.
In Khartoum on Tuesday, Hamad Al Junaibi, the Ambassador to Sudan, met the interior minister to discuss cooperation in security.

How to apply for a drone permit
- Individuals must register on UAE Drone app or website using their UAE Pass
- Add all their personal details, including name, nationality, passport number, Emiratis ID, email and phone number
- Upload the training certificate from a centre accredited by the GCAA
- Submit their request

- Ensure maximum flying height of 400 feet (122 metres) above ground level is not crossed
