DUBAI // Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, has issued directives to organise an Islamic economy summit in Dubai next year.

The Third Global Islamic Economy Summit is to take place on October 11-12. The Dubai Islamic Economic Development Centre and Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry will organise the summit, held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai.

“The UAE’s position as global hub for sustainable development places it in a good position to lead the development of a Sharia-compliant knowledge-based economy that can promote diversified Islamic investments in industry, production and services sectors,” said Sheikh Hamdan.
