Christine Lagarde, managing director of the International Monetary Fund, will be speaking at Global Women’s Forum to held in Dubai on February 23-24 next year.
The forum is being held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and led by Sheikha Manal bint Mohammed, president of the UAE Gender Balance Council and president of Dubai Women Establishment.
Ms Lagarde has championed efforts to increase the participation of women in the workforce as a means of reducing poverty and inequality.
