Dubai Municipality will take over responsibility for environmental, health and safety issues in the areas under the Dubai Maritime City Authority from Thrakhees, a subsidiary of Dubai Ports, Customs and Free Zone.
Eng Salem bin Mesmar, assistant director general for the environment, health and safety sector at Dubai Municipality, on Thursday met a delegation from DMCA, headed by Amer Ali, executive director of the authority.
The meeting was also attended by several officials from the municipality and DMCA. A further meeting will be held on Monday to discuss the steps of the handover.
