ABU DHABI // The Sheikh Zayed Housing Programme has approved Dh335 million of grants to 679 Emiratis.
Dr Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Public Works and Chairman of SZHP, said the aid reflects the keenness of the leadership to “provide a decent life to all its sons by harnessing all its resources to ensure well-being and happiness for its citizens”.
He told Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister newspaper of The National, that the programme has 17 residential land plots across the country that each have room for about 300 homes.
He said Emiratis can now attain land plots in one day as there is no waiting list.
The aid was approved after directives from UAE President Sheikh Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice-President and Ruler of Dubai, with support of Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs.
