DEWA to supply Emirati condolence tents with power free of charge

DUBAI // Emiratis will now have electricity and water connected to their family condolence tents for free, the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority has announced.

Electricity will be supplied throughout the three-day mourning period without payment, with a water tank delivered each day, allowing mourners to visit the family and pay their respects.

The move by the authority is in line with the Year of Giving, launched by President Sheikh Khalifa, and is part of the authority’s corporate social responsibility initiatives.
