Abu Dhabi Municipality has announced that it plans to build 130 parks in various parts of the emirate by the end of 2017.
Municipality officials confirmed that studies had been carried out to build 20 children's playgrounds in various residential areas in the capital, reported Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister newspaper of The National.
Twenty locations have been earmarked in Mohammed bin Zayed City, an official said. The other locations will be announced at a later date.
