Abu Dhabi Police have launched an Eid Al Adha awareness initiative, part of the Your Safety campaign implemented by Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Maj Gen Mohammed Al Menhali, director general of police operations, urged the community to work together to promote safety in public gardens, parks, commercial centres and other public places during Eid. He said patrols will be intensified throughout the emirate and the police will step up their efforts, particularly in cases of emergency. Maj Gen Al Menhali stressed the need to watch over children in play areas and to keep them from falling or being lost in a crowd. Parents should also refrain from leaving their children home alone.
