As the happy days of Eid Al Fitr arrive, it is important to continue the good deeds practised during Ramadan, today's sermon reminds worshippers.
Quoting a verse from the Quran, the sermon notes the importance of consistency in worship and in avoiding sin.
"Those who say 'Our Lord is Allah', and afterwards are upright, the angels descend upon them, saying: 'Fear not nor grieve, but hear good tidings of the paradise which ye are promised'."
The Quran also praises worshippers who are consistent in their prayers.
"Save worshippers who are constant at their worship," says another verse.
The sermon continues: "It is success from Allah when a worshipper is capable of preserving the faith fruits they acquired during the holy month.
"And the most important Sunnah we got used to during Ramadan is Qiyam [midnight prayers], so let us continue to practise it."
The Prophet Mohammed highlighted the importance of Qiyam, saying it brought people closer to their creator, prevented them from committing sins, and erased sins already committed.
The sermon also reminds Muslims that the Prophet Mohammed used to fast after the end of Ramadan.
He would fast the first six days of the month of Shawwal - which follows Ramadan - as well as every Monday and Thursday and the 13th, 14th and 15th of every Hijri month.
The Prophet Mohammed likened fasting for the six days of Shawwal to fasting for eternity.
