Characters from the popular UAE cartoon series Freej are touring Abu Dhabi this summer.
Abood, his grandmother Um Saeed and her friends Um Khammas, Um Allawi and Um Saloom, were created by Mohammed Saeed Harib, who drew inspiration from his real-life family. The series was first broadcast in 2006, attracting thousands of viewers and fans.
Children have the chance to see the characters in a show, Freej Live: Abood's Dream, at Emirates Palace from July 31 until August 2. On August 7 and 8, the show will be at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development, while Al Ain fans can attend performances at Al Ain Municipality from August 11 to 13. Tickets are on sale now at Emirates Palace, the Western Region Youth and Culture Club and Al Ain Municipality.
The show has already delighted children at Mashreq School, Aftal Abu Dhabi Kindergarten and Gems World Academy and visited Al Muna Primary School, posing for pictures and giving out balloons.
