DUBAI // Parking across Dubai will be free on New Year’s Day with the exception of the Deira Fish Market.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) said the fish market is exempt to make sure there is enough parking space for visitors in the heavily trafficked area.
Maitha bin Udai, chief executive of the RTA traffic and roads agency, urged drivers not to park on pavements and to use parking lots correctly. All parking zones in the city will revert to paid parking on Sunday.
