ABU DHABI // Parking in the capital will be free on Thursday for the Al Israa wal Miraj holiday.
The Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport said the free parking period would run from Thursday until 7.59am on Saturday.
The department, however, reminded motorists that this did not give them the right to double park, block vehicles or obstruct the flow of traffic.
Residents-only parking areas for permit holders will also operate between 9pm and 8am over the holiday period.
All customer care centres will be closed, while the Central Market customer care centre will be open on Friday from 3pm to 9pm.
