Four months of repair work begin on Dubai Marina Promenade

Paving will be replaced between now and June

Four months of work will begin on Dubai's Marina Promenade on Tuesday.

Damaged paving will be removed and replaced, according to a notice issued by developers Emaar.

The eight-kilometre walk, winding around Dubai Marina, is popular with residents and tourists.

“Emaar master community management would like to inform all residents that paving works will be carried out from 16 February to June 2021 around the whole of Marina Promenade,” read the notice.

It said the renovations will involve "replacing sections of damaged paving and erecting hoardings around the work area".

Last year, Emaar brought in a 12 kilometres an hour speed limit on the promenade, to prevent e-scooter riders and cyclists from speeding and endangering pedestrians.
