DUBAI// A scheduled FlyDubai flight from Beirut to Dubai had to be cancelled on Monday following a bird strike on the aircraft.
Images on social media showed the plane with a dent on its nose-tip following the incident.
The collision with the bird took place during the inbound flight FZ157 from Dubai to Beirut that had departed the emirate at 8.38am on Monday.
Passengers on board FZ158 will be rebooked on the next available flight from Beirut, the budget airline said in a statement.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused to passengers’ travel schedules,” added the statement.
