AJMAN // The first phase of drainage networks designed to keep storm water from flooding areas has been completed.
The Department of Municipality and Planning in Ajman said the first phase, which began last year in the Al Nuaimiya area, has been finished and that the remaining work will be rolled out in phases in accordance with the Roads and Infrastructure administration plan.
Drainage networks on Al Ittihad Road, in the area near Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Bridge and Al Nuaimiya Bridge, are finished.
Another area of Al Nuaimiya and the Ajman Gate roundabout are in the next phase.
The department added that the coming year will see various developments on roads in Ajman, including construction of drainage networks on Sheikh Zayed Road, starting from Al Rawdha Bridge and up to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road.
