A factory in Ras Al Khaimah was destroyed this week after going up in flames, Al Ittihad, the Arabic language sister newspaper of The National reported.
The fire spread to a nearby building housing labourers although there were no injuries, civil defence said.
After emergency services arrived on the scene in Al Oraibi, the building, where 75 people were working, was evacuated.
The factory, which housed carpentry equipment, was damaged along with several bedrooms in the neighbouring building.
Last November in the emirate, six caravans in Al Jazeera Al Hamra caught fire.
