DUBAI // Five warehouses were destroyed by fire yesterday in the Ras al Khor industrial area.
Fire crews were called out around 11.45am and had contained the blaze by around 2pm, Dubai Civil Defence said. No one was hurt.
The fire started in a row of 12 warehouses and spread quickly. Plastic materials, garments, perfumes and cosmetics were among the items stored. Smoke could be seen from several parts of the emirate. The cause of the blaze was under investigation, a civil defence spokesman said.
