Fire crews in Ajman battle three blazes in a matter of hours



Fire fighters in Ajman were called into action three times in a matter of hours on Sunday as a gas cylinder explosion ripped through a cafe, a blaze broke out at a factory and an apartment block was evacuated.

Tenants were forced to flee a residential building in Al Nuaimia after a fire started in one of the apartment units during the afternoon.

Crews managed to contain the fire before it spread any further.

A second fire was sparked at a food packaging factory in the new industrial area of the emirate later in the same day, causing damage to the premises.

A gas explosion a cafe in the emirate damaged the building and two cars parked outside.

No injuries were reported in any of the three fires.

The cause of the first two blazes was not disclosed.
