Civil Defence teams from two emirates were called to tackle a fire that broke out in a factory in Umm Al Quwain on Thursday night.
There were no casualties in the blaze at a container factory and firefighters from both the Umm Al Quwain and neighbouring Sharjah Civil Defences were praised for their quick action in responding to the fire.
Dr Salem Hamad Hamdah, director of the Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain, praised the role and of civil defense personnel in "meeting the call of duty to reach the site of the accident and control the fire with utmost precision and professionalism".
