Fire breaks out at tower on Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah

Dubai Media Office said that no injuries were reported.

DUBAI // A fire broke out on Monday night at the Oceana building on Palm Jumeirah.

Eyewitnesses said that the fire started on the upper storeys of the building.

Dubai Civil Defence sent an emergency team shortly afterwards and Dubai Media Office tweeted that “the building was safely evacuated and no injuries were reported”. The fire was extinguished by 2am.

Mitch Williams, a witness to the incident, tweeted “the fire is almost completely out due to the swift action from the civil defence team.”
