ABU DHABI // A father who accused his son of hitting him has demanded the maximum possible penalty on his son.
A O, an Emirati, was convicted of attacking his father by the Court of Misdemeanour and sentenced to a suspended one month jail sentence and fined Dh1,000.
Public prosecution appealed the verdict.
At the Appeals Court on Tuesday, A O denied his charges and asked to be acquitted.
The father insisted that the incident had occurred and said his son should be sentenced to the maximum possible punishment.
The case has been adjourned to announce a verdict.
