Excessive speed causes death of Emirati, 28, in RAK

A 28-year-old Emirati man was killed yesterday morning when his fast driving caused a tyre blowout that led him to crash into a lamppost in Ras Al Khaimah.

The man was driving alone on Al Liwaa Street when the incident occurred. Lieutenant colonel Ahmed Al Naqbi, director of media and traffic awareness department at RAK Police, said the driver died instantly and that his body was taken to hospital before it was released to the victim's parents for burial.
