Etihad Airways has cancelled all flights to Chennai between December 2 and 7 due to flooding at the city’s airport.

Flights EY268, EY238, EY270, EY269, EY239, and EY271 have been affected, the airline said on Twitter.

Travellers whose flights have been disrupted are being asked to visit etihad.com or call the airline on 02 599 0000 for details on how to rebook.

Those due to fly from Abu Dhabi are being offered several backup options including rebooking on a different date and being rerouted through a different city, the airline said on its website.

Etihad will also provide overnight accommodation in Abu Dhabi where required.

Indian media has reported that Chennai International Airport will be closed to air traffic until Sunday.
