University of Wollongong to represent UAE in Microsoft competition finals

Microsoft's Imagine Cup 2015 will be held in Seattle, Washington from July 27 to 31, with teams from 33 countries around the world participating.

DUBAI // Students from the University of Wollongong in Dubai will represent the UAE at the world finals of Microsoft’s Imagine Cup 2015 in Seattle, Washington next week.

The competition is Microsoft’s global student technology competition which allows students to create applications and integrate solutions that can change the way we live.

The participating students Heba Nayef, Artaza Aziz and Jawad Jandali Refai. The talented trio, under their team, Freedom Fragrance, created LAMAPP, a mobile app that allows members of the community to anonymously report any form of abuse through video and audio recordings.

It will be held from July 27 to 31, with teams from 33 countries around the world participating.
