UAE weather: fog reduces visibility in parts of the country

Residents in areas of greater Abu Dhabi woke up to fog with forecasters reporting mist over Al Maktoum Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport, though no flight delays were reported.

DUBAI // Commuters were urged to drive with caution as fog reduced visibility to less than 1km in parts of the country on Wednesday.

Residents in areas of greater Abu Dhabi woke up to fog with forecasters reporting mist over Al Maktoum Airport and Abu Dhabi International Airport, although no flight delays were reported.

Otherwise pleasant conditions are expected throughout the day with partly cloudy skies and light to moderate winds forecast.

Temperatures will range between 15°C and 25°C, 11°C to 27°C inland and 6°C to 19°C in the mountains.

Humidity will increase up to 95 per cent overnight leading to further fog on Thursday morning.

Seas will be moderate in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.
