UAE weather: Dubai and Abu Dhabi to reach 40°C

Temperatures in Dubai and Abu Dhabi will reach 40°C on Wednesday, while parts of the interior could hit 47°C.

Both cities will also have wind speeds of about 4km/h.

Along the coast and islands the maximum is likely to be 44°C and the mountains are expected to be 39°C.

Humidity along the coast is forecast to reach 90 per cent while the interior could be at 85 per cent.

The National Centre of Meteorology said that Wednesday will have fair to partly cloudy skies, with a chance of rainfall by afternoon.

The light to moderate winds could causing blowing dust during the day.

Humidity will peak into the evening and into Thursday morning, with a probability of some mist.

Conditions will be slight to moderate in the Arabian Gulf and in the Oman Sea.
