Rain, fog likely in southern areas

Possibility of mist, fog along the coast

Rainfall is forecast over the eastern and southern areas of the country with the possibility of a thick cloud cover on Saturday.

The humidity levels will continue to rise with fog likely in some areas on Sunday, according to the National Centre for Meteorology and Seismology.

The humidity will increase at night and during the early morning over the coastal areas as well with mist likely through the weekend.

The temperature will climb across internal regions through the weekend causing hazy conditions with dust blowing over some areas, the centre said.

Temperatures will range from 28 to 46°C in the interior regions, 30 to 43°C along the coast, 23 to 35°C in the mountains.

The maximum humidity would be between 60 to 85 per cent across coastal regions,  40 to 70 per cent in internal areas and 30 to 50 per cent in the mountains.

The lowest temperature recorded in the country was 24.7°C in the Jais mountains on Friday morning and the highest temperature was 46.3°C in Al Yasat.
