Dubai will redesign public parks across the city, it was announced on Wednesday.
Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, and Dubai Municipality will work together on the new designs.
The project is a part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan that aims to make the city the world’s best to live in.
Authorities said city parks and green open spaces will encourage more people to exercise and stay fit.
It aims to increase the well-being and happiness of the public and encourage sustainable land use.
Authorities will also involve members of the community in the design work.
The project will enhance the aesthetic ambience of the city and transform several neighbourhoods.
