Dubai Municipality gives great importance to natural wildlife reserves, which are a key destination for tourists, said Jumaa Al Fuqaai, head of the public maintenance department. Development work has started at Al Marmoom Desert reserve, with a chain link fence installed over 5,200 metres. The site around the fences has been cleaned and ground-levelling has begun to build the necessary foundation for information panels and signs. The works are estimated to cost Dh1.25 million.
Mr Al Fuqaai said works are ongoing at other reserves as well, including the Desert Monsters reserve, Jebel Nazwa reserve and Hatta Mountain reserve.
