Emirati families to be given 2,000 homes for Eid

The homes are to be given under the orders of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

Two thousand homes in the Emirati community of Al Falah have been allocated as gifts to UAE nationals for Eid Al Fitr.

The homes are to be given under the orders of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

The first 1,000 homes will be designated as government residential units to those whose names have been approved.

The second group of beneficiaries will be announced later.

The community of 4,857 villas at Al Falah will make up the first development completed as part of the Emirati Family Housing Programme, a project launched by the Urban Planning Council.

The completed development on 1,250 hectares east of Abu Dhabi airport will be home to between 40,000 and 60,000 people.

The first families are expected to move in by the end of the year.
