Emirati charity feeds thousands internationally this Ramadan

This Ramadan, thousands of foreigners have received Iftar meals courtesy of the Emirati Charity Works Authority.

Disadvantaged people in countries including Niger, Senegal and Sudan have received more than 130,000 meals, at a cost of more than Dh1.8 million.

By the end of the Holy Month the programme plans to have reached 195,000 people - an average of 6,500 meals a day - at a cost of more than Dh2.9m. Other countries involved include Palestine, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, India, Indonesia, Kosovo and Bosnia
