Emirati airlifted from Ras Al Khamiah mountains



The Ras Al Khaimah police air wing came to the rescue of an Emirati who lost consciousness after suffering heat exhaustion in Wadi Ghalila.

Lieutenant Colonel pilot Saeed Rashed Al Yamahi, head of the Air Wings section, said the operations room received a communication on Thursday morning reporting that an Emirati had been found unconscious in Wadi Ghalila in the Hajjar mountains at a height of 3,500 feet.

An aircraft immediately headed to the scene, airlifted the man and provided first aid until he reached hospital to receive treatment.

Lt Col Al Yamahi said that the air wings is ready to head to any destination around the clock, answering humanitarian calls and providing care.
