Emirates Red Crescent spends more than Dh728m on projects in 2014
More than Dh728 million was spent by Emirates Red Crescent on humanitarian, developmental and relief programmes - inside and outside the country - from January to November this year. Of this, more than Dh178m was spent on local projects, including medical assistance worth Dh40m that benefited 80,000 people, the state news agency Wam reported.
Other projects carried out in the country include humanitarian assistance, at Dh40m, aid for students worth Dh39m, rehabilitation programmes for people with special needs, at Dh8m, and more than Dh7m in funds for programmes that supported prisoners.
