FUJAIRAH // Four-hundred low income labourers in Dubai and Fujairah won’t have to worry about keeping warm while working outside in the recent cold weather spell after receiving winter clothing and aid from the Emirates Red Crescent.
Dubai Red Crescent employees along with volunteers visited construction sites in Dubai and Jebal Ali where they distributed 300 bags to workers, which included winter clothing and personal hygiene necessities in addition to meals.
Fujairah Red Crescent also took part in the campaign, handing out 100 bags and meals to municipality workers in Massafi and Al Taween.
The campaign aims to offer moral and emotional support to workers along with maintaining their health and safety during the cold season.
The campaign is part of a range of community initiatives organised by the Emirates Red Crescent and supported by volunteers from public and private institutions that will be rolled across the country.
