Emirates Red Crescent donates school uniforms in Gaza

The Emirates Red Crescent in Gaza has distributed school uniforms to underprivileged pupils.

The start of the school year was delayed due to the conflict with Israel during the summer. Emad Abu Al-Laban, director of the ERC in Gaza, said the project seeks to assist residents who are facing economic difficulties.

Mr Abu Al-Laban added that the project, which was organised in cooperation with the United Nations Relief and Works Agency, has so far distributed 5,000 uniforms to girls as part of efforts to alleviate some of the financial burdens on their families.

The ERC is eager to provide assistance to as many people as possible, adding that the organisation carries out a number of other projects with the help of Gaza charities.
