Emirates Red Crescent distributed about 4,500 food parcels on Wednesday in Al Mukalla city in the Yemeni governorate of Hadramaut.
It was part of the organisation’s programme following the liberation last April of directorates on the Hadramaut coast from Al Qaeda’s control.
The programme is aimed at helping 80,000 families, reported the state news agency, Wam.
Abdulbaqi Al Huthari, director general of Al Mukalla directorate, thanked the UAE.
