ABU DHABI // Paris-Sorbonne University-Abu Dhabi said its enrolment will rise significantly next month, a year before its move to a new campus. The university, which opened on a temporary campus in Oct 2006, will take on 130 new bachelor's-degree students when its new term begins next month. Total enrolment is expected to be between 450 and 500. That is about all the temporary campus can accommodate, said Dr Daniel Balland, director general of the university.
Dr Balland said the university received more than 300 applications for the new academic year. Sorbonne Abu Dhabi's students significantly outperformed their counterparts in France in their first-year examinations last year. dbardsley@thenational.ae
