A group of Dubai students who created a short documentary in which they said they dreamed to meet the Vice President had their wishes answered this week.

The Mohammed Bin Rashid School for Communication students, who created a short video called Six Degrees of Dubai, met with Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, also Ruler of Dubai, at a Dubai Media Office event.

“We dream of meeting the person who taught us how to dream,” one of the students said in the video which was posted online.

In the short film, the group discuss why Dubai is a great example of the ‘six degrees of separation’ theory. And in order to prove the theory, the film goes on, the students made it their goal to meet with Sheikh Mohammed.

The students were not the only ones to be impressed during the visit.

“I admire your passion and appreciation for everything we have achieved in the UAE,” Sheikh Mohammed told them. “I’m happy you’re here in Dubai and I’m happy to be with you today.”

“We are keen to attract talented youth from the region and the rest of the world,” Sheikh Mohammed said, adding that offering opportunities to young talent is of high priority for the country.

In addition, the Vice President told the students to continue pursuing their dreams.

Both the city and Sheikh Mohammed inspired their ideas, the students said.

Also at the meeting were Crown Prince of Dubai Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed and Deputy Ruler of Dubai Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed.
