Indian exams website crashes as pupils try to find out results

India's Central Board of Secondary Education website went down for about an hour at the time Grade 12 results were released.

DUBAI // An Indian exam results website crashed on Monday as tens of thousands of pupils tried to log on to find out how they performed.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) published the results for Grade 12 tests at about midday.

Just more than one million pupils in India and around the world, including the UAE, took the exams and as they attempted to find out how they did, the website crashed for about an hour.

The top performers in the UAE are yet to be announced.

Pupils can find out their results by typing in their exam roll number into www.cbse.nic.in.
