DUBAI // The Mohammed bin Rashid Distinguished Students Programme is accepting applications for the next academic year.

The programme is open to Emirati students from Dubai and is the first of its kind in the country, providing opportunities for outstanding Emirati students to attend some of the emirate’s best private schools.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, launched the programme in March during the Future Dialogue sessions on the Dubai Plan 2021.

The Knowledge and Human Development Authority, which regulates Dubai private schools, is rolling out the programme and students who are selected will start classes starting in September.

“The [Mohammed bin Rashid] Distinguished Students Programme allows young Emirati students to contribute towards nation building in the future by getting high-quality education and academic guidance,” said Fatma Al Marri, chief executive of the authority.
