Parents and pupils at 24 private schools in Dubai will be required to sign a contract with their schools to register for the fall term.
All children over the age of 15 must sign the legally-binding contract with their parents.
The contract outlines the expectations and responsibilities of pupils, parents and schools. It also protects their rights, and serves as a reference guide for solving any misunderstandings that may arise, according to the Knowledge and Human Development Authority.
The KHDA saw a 20 per cent drop in the number of complaints from schools and parents who signed the contract in the pilot phase of the programme last year.
