Dubai College won first place in the 2015 national mathematics competition featuring more than 130 high school pupils representing 30 schools in the UAE.
Abu Dhabi Grammar School and The Glenelg School of Abu Dhabi secured second and third place. Sixty teams of pupils from Grades 11 and 12 solved complex problems in calculus, logic, probability, algebra and geometry.
The contest was organised by Abu Dhabi University’s College of Arts and Sciences for the third year.
“The increased turnout of student participants from schools across the UAE is a testament to the competition’s success in embodying ADU’s message in teaching, scientific research and community service,” said Radwan Al Jarrah, dean of the university.
