DUBAI // The Delhi Private School (DPS) will host an inter-school event to showcase pupils’ multidisciplinary skills this weekend.

It will be held on Saturday at the school in the emirate. The event comprises six competitions that are open to pupils in grades nine to 12.

Eight schools from across the UAE have registered to take part.

The event will help students to gain insights into subjects including science, the environment, social issues, information technology and mathematics.

The competitions will highlight a range of the students’ abilities in story-writing, innovation, analysis, drama, debating, and dance.

Now in its second year, the event is the brainchild of Rashmi Nandkeolyar, the principal of DPS, who hopes to help pupils to become creative thinkers and leaders.

“It promises to be a wonderful learning experience as it is a unique opportunity for students to collaborate and display their youthful effervescence and zeal to create a better tomorrow,” the school said.

Established in 2003, DPS Dubai is a branch of the Delhi Public School Society in New Delhi.

DPS is a private school for kindergarden-age children to those in grade 12. It follows the curricula of India’s Central Board of Secondary Education and is approved by the UAE ministry of education.
