One-hundred-and-five public schools out of 277 across the UAE that were inspected last year met the standards set by the Ministry of Education.

The ministry’s inspection efforts aim to help schools improve their performance and help them pinpoint obstacles and weaknesses to overcome.

Jameela Al Muhairi, head of public schools inspection department, said 277 government schools, out of a total 417, were subjected to inspection last year. She added that the ministry achieved the desired results, as 105 schools met the standards set by the ministry - 38 per cent of the total number of targeted schools.
