The 2015 Abu Dhabi Festival's 'Early Bird' ticket offer which gives festival-goers a 25 per cent discount on ticket prices will end at midnight on Saturday.
The festival features a series of concerts, performances and exhibitions, and will highlight successful musicians including the Brazilian music legend Sérgio Mendes; maestro Riccardo Muti conducting violin virtuoso Anne-Sophie Mutter and the Luigi Cherubini Youth Orchestra; the acclaimed Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Flórez; pianist Leif Ove Andsnes; the Budapest Festival Orchestra conducted by Iván Fischer; two performances of a concert staging of Mozart's The Magic Flute; and the Lebanese American singer Mayssa Karaa making her international debut.
Supporting the main programme is a new series of recitals by award-winning young laureates of classical music. Featured are award-winning pianists Jan Lisiecki, Julian Libeer and Ah Reum Ahn, and accomplished violinist Aisha Syed Castro.
Abu Dhabi Festival 2015 will also welcome Chicago hip-hop sensation Q Brothers and their fresh take on Shakespeare’s tragedy, Othello: The Remix.
