One of Dubai's most popular urban attractions is set for a brush with nature - with a brand new neighbourhood ready to spring up at City Walk.
Central Park will bring a family feel to the trendy district, boasting 12 residential buildings overlooking a lush 40,000 square metre private park.
The first phase of the sprawling development, which is being spearheaded by Meraas, will be made up of 187 contemporary one to four bedroom apartments.
The rich array of amenities for people setting up home will include tennis and basketball courts, running tracks, cafes and swimming pools.
The community park will just be the latest green addition to City Walk.
The district is already home to the Green Planet, a unique indoor rainforest.
Meraas, a leading UAE property developer, has not revealed when Central Park will be welcoming its first tenants.
Meraas is also pressing ahead with plans to open a new 17,000 arena in City Walk this year.
Dubai Arena is set to welcome a variety of concerts and live events when it swings open its doors.
