Dubai could soon be home to the Middle East's first crocodile park.

No timescale has been set for the park, which would be used for both education and entertainment.

Municipality officials are currently studying similar parks, including Crocodile Planet in France, which has a collection of more than 200 species.

"The municipality seeks to build a new world tourist attraction in the emirate of Dubai through the partnership with the foreign investors to establish the crocodile park project in the event of positive results of the study," said Khalifa Abdullah Hareb, the director of the assets management department at the Dubai municipality.
