DUBAI// A man has been found not guilty of sexually assaulting a female work colleague after he arranged for her to visit his house to pick up some documents.
The Dubai Criminal Court was told that Indian A F, 29, had arranged with his compatriot P P, 33, to come to his residence on October 27 last year.
“He sent me a text message asking me to come, so I went with two other colleagues and when I got there I stood at his door but he insisted I come in. I refused so he pulled me from my hand inside,” alleged P P in records.
P P said she sat on the floor and started crying. When A F touched her she screamed for help from her colleagues.
“We rushed upstairs to his room and heard her screaming and asking him not to touch her. We knocked on the door and when he opened up he was topless while P P was in a state of fear with her shirt in disorder. Her face and neck were red,” testified Indian S D, 30.
Prosecutors said that A F confessed to sexually assaulting the woman when she came to his house.
However, in court he denied the charge and said that he had merely pushed P P. A F was found not guilty by the court.
