A British national who works for an oil production company in the UK became a dollar millionaire on Tuesday.
Alan Venters, 41, holder of the winning ticket for the 193rd Millennium Millionaire Draw, was over the moon to hear the news of his win.
“It’s a truly memorable day for me,” Mr Venters said by phone. “I feel fantastically lucky and will be delighted to meet the Dubai Duty Free team who made this happen.”
Ahmed El Gibaly, an Egyptian national living in Cairo, won a Ducati Monster 821.
A frequent Dubai visitor who regularly participates in the Finest Surprise Promotion, Mr El Gibaly was extremely excited to have finally won.
“I am still in pleasant shock after hearing the news,” he said. “I never owned a motorbike and can’t wait to see it and take a ride!”

What is dialysis?
